This Ph.D. thesis describes research into the question which behavioral factors play a role in the successful implementation and use of performance management systems, such as the balanced scorecard. It turns out 18 specific factors are of importance and that specific management styles are also decisive for regular use of these systems.
The research is published as a book titled Quest for Balance by John Wiley & Sons.
